About
Nicole Solomons M.Sc B.A. (Hons) DipDEA
I have spent much of the last 20 years working within the environmental sector. In 2011, I established SusBuildings in order to offer a comprehensive consultancy service.
My previous employers include EarthAction Network; Mid Wales Energy Agency, and the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) where I managed the Consultancy Department. My last position was as European Project Manager at Marches Energy Agency in Shrewsbury.
In 2011 I completed an MSc in Architecture: Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies at the University of East London in conjunction with the CAT Graduate School of the Environment. My research thesis concentrated on appropriate types of insulating materials for Victorian solid brick walls; I used the WUFI computer software system to model moisture and heat movement through walls. I am also a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor and Green Deal Advisor
I often work with other consultants in the areas of renewable energy and green building, and can provide a pool of expert advice for larger scale projects.
